We work with ecology and specialist environmental consultancies before commencing on any part of a build programme. The majority of developments incorporate a range of eco-friendly features including; green walls for invertebrates, cycle racks, high efficiency insulation and double glazing, low energy light fittings and A-rated appliances.Some of our higher eco-rated developments feature solar panels, photo voltaic panels, water run off management systems and green sedum roofs.All build materials are purchased from low carbon offset suppliers and our timber is sourced from managed sustainable resources from reputable suppliers.
Greenacre understands that sustainability goes much further than the materials and the fabrics incorporated within their new build homes. True sustainability needs to embrace alternative thinking to the supply chain, suppliers and the future owners’ lifestyles, from working at home to cycle racks, renewable energy and rainwater harvesting systems.
